Clifton Hotel residents facing “renoviction” want action from city and province

June 4, 2014, Vancouver, Coast Salish Territories – Forty low-income residents of the Clifton Hotel have been given eviction notices by their landlord in the latest “renoviction” case in Vancouver.
Come to a news conference to learn:

  • What does this mean for the residents?
  • Where will they go?
  • What does it mean for homelessness in Vancouver?
  • What should the city do about it?
  • What should the province do about it?
